The Valiant Cross Experience
“We believe it is an opportunity gap, not an achievement gap that young, African American males are faced with and we intend to provide as many opportunities as possible to our scholars so they can reach their highest potential.” – Anthony Brock, Head of School
Valiant Cross Academy believes in providing opportunities outside the classroom to teach “Real World” experiences. We want our young men to apply what they are learning in the classroom and put it into action out in the community through hands-on experiences and service to others.
We have visited colleges and universities, corporations, museums, historic landmarks, plays, art museums, the ballet and much more to assure our scholars have the ability to see themselves in many different paths for their future.

Community outreach is a large part of what we teach to our scholars. Community service work allows our young men to know they can make a difference in the lives of others and we hope to instill in them a path of civic engagement throughout their lives. Whether it is packing food boxes and delivering them to the needy or simply praying for the needy, our young men will be inspired to serve their community.
